Minster Lovell Ruins, Oxford, Engagement Session – Isabella + Lucas

From Brazil to the UK – these photographs and film show a young couple, their feelings and their plans!

It was worth getting up super early to catch the morning light in spring for this couple shoot at Minster Lovell Hall and Dovecote, near Oxford. Choosing a beautiful place for a couple shoot and selecting a good time helps!

It is fair to say that words about love do sound infinitely more beautiful in Brazilian Portuguese – my favourite language for words about love – but I have done my best to do the words justice in the English subtitles! Lucas and Isabella are both Brazilians, although Lucas has been in the UK since his mid teens and Isabella for a few years too. They both enjoy their lives here in the UK, in Oxford, but also keep their Brazilian culture alive. It is only the second time that we have produced photos and film for a Brazilian couple even though Gione is Brazilian. It will be fun to see the mixture of culture and traditions in their wedding video.

It is clear that what is important to this couple, despite their love for each other, is their plans for their future, their Christian faith and absolute and serious commitment to their marriage. It is interesting that although the personal messages they read to each other were written separately – Isabella prepared and read hers from her mobile phone and Lucas spoke without any notes (very brave!)– they both had common themes: They spoke of their feelings today, their commitment to forever, thanked God for each other and what also came through was their amazement at having found each other and their appreciative, admiration and adoration!

Gione did the photos for this couple and I did the film. I absolutely love couple shoots because I get to be really creative without too many time pressures and the couple are not distracted by the busy-ness of the wedding day!

The couple are just gorgeous and we also can’t wait to film their wedding later this summer at Clayton Hotel Chiswick! Watch this space!
