All the way from Hong Kong and Canada to Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, the wedding video of Patricia and Alan shows a very special, exciting day for so many reasons. It was a large, grand event, but with many personal touches with traditional and modern complimenting each other wonderfully.
The venue was the magnificent, historic stately home, Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, chosen in part because of Patricia’s interest in the history of the British Royal family, and in particular Henry VIII. However, the events of the day itself could not have been more modern!
To start with, the ceremony included some emotive personal vows, which mixed humour with sincerity. In the evening, the music for the first dance was provided by Patricia’s sisters, who performed ‘Grow Old With You’ on voice and ukulele, from the film, ‘The Wedding Singer’. The guests were surprised by some superb Michael Jackson moves in a solo performance by a friend, and the bridesmaids and groomsmen performed a dance to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. What fun!
Also a very cross-cultural affair, for many of Patricia’s family and friends it was their first visit to Europe. And there were guests for all over the world!
